Our whitening treatments can make a pleasing difference to your smile
If you’d like to improve the brightness of your smile, Renton Dental in Paddington offers you affordable teeth whitening treatment to suit your individual needs.
A naturally brighter smile can give you a self-confidence boost that will make you feel like smiling. It’s little wonder that teeth whitening is such a popular cosmetic dental procedure.
At Renton Dental we offer you the choice of two effective methods: Pola Day tooth whitening in the comfort of your own home, and Pola Office in-chair whitening in our modern Paddington dental practice.
We only use and recommend teeth whitening treatments which have been clinically proven to be safe and effective, and won’t weaken or damage your teeth enamel.
Depending on your schedule and how long you have to devote to brightening your smile, you have two main choices for teeth whitening: in-chair or at-home treatments.
Our team of experienced dentists will assess your teeth’s suitability for whitening at a free-of-charge consultation and discuss with you what could be achieved.
Pola Office in-chair teeth whitening
A fast, easy way to brighten your smile in our practice
If you’d like to have your smile professionally whitened in our Paddington dental practice, we offer the Pola Office teeth whitening system.
With its strong and effective 35% hydrogen peroxide formula (which means it can only be applied by a dentist), it gives you efficient whitening results in a surprisingly short time in our dentist’s chair.
With Pola Office it can take just around an hour to whiten your smile.
Pola Office also contains a built-in desensitising agent that works to penetrate your nerve endings, block transmission of sensitive nerve impulses, and give you a much more comfortable experience. This also helps to reduce the chance of sensitivity in your teeth and gums after your procedure.
Together with its short treatment time, it adds up to one of the most comfortable tooth whitening methods available.
Pola Day at-home teeth whitening
Get a brighter smile from just 15 minutes a day
If you’d prefer to whiten your teeth with a treatment that fits in around your schedule, we also offer Pola Day at-home tooth whitening.
Pola Day uses custom made trays that resemble a very thin sports mouthguard, which you fill with whitening gel and wear for between 15 and 45 minutes a day. The system gradually whitens your teeth over a period of about 5-14 days.
Thanks to its gentler hydrogen peroxide formula, high water content, and desensitising agents, Pola Day is very comfortable and safe for you to use at home.
“Its pleasant spearmint flavoured gel is easy to handle and place exactly where it’s needed in your whitening trays. That way, you won’t use more gel than you really need.
Pola Day is a convenient and safe way to whiten your smile in your own home.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long will my teeth whitening results last?
How long you’ll enjoy your brighter smile will depend on your oral health habits and the choices you make with your food and drink. For example, drinking coffee, tea and red wine can reduce your smile’s brightness more quickly than if you avoid them.
You can choose to maintain your whiter smile with take-home touch ups once or twice a year. With care and maintenance, your bright new smile can last for two years or more.
How long will it take to whiten my teeth?
This depends on which whitening option you choose: the Pola Office in-chair system takes around 60 minutes to give you a whiter smile. Alternatively, the Pola Day at-home system delivers pleasing results from 15 minutes of treatment per day, over about 5-14 days.
Is Pola teeth whitening treatment safe?
When used according to instructions. Research has shown that the Pola whitening system does not damage or change your tooth structure in any way. It has successfully given people a brighter and fresher smile, across more than a decade of use.
Are there any side effects from tooth whitening?
Most people will experience no long-term side effects from Pola products when they’re used in accordance with the instructions. You may have some temporary sensitivity which will dissipate over a few hours. We recommend avoiding soft drinks or citrus after your treatment to help reduce sensitivity.
Does Pola whiten my crowns, fillings or veneers?
No, teeth whitening treatment will only affect the colour of your natural tooth enamel. So if you have dental crowns, veneers, or fillings, these will be unaffected by the teeth whitening process.
