You can claim your health fund rebate directly via HICAPS at Renton Dental. You’ll pay only the applicable gap for your dental services. Most health funds are accessible through HICAPS. (View the current list of providers here > https://www.hicaps.com.au/private_health_insurers)
Adults / children with private health insurance
We are an independent dental practice which means we have not entered into an arrangement with a private health fund.
We feel that this is in your best interests because we can spend extra time with you to collaboratively work out a plan of treatment or schedule your treatment at a pace that suits you, not your insurance company.
We can process treatment costs at our surgery with your private health fund so you can receive a rebate depending on your level of insurance cover.
If your child is covered under your private health insurance, they can claim a rebate at our practice, as adult do.
Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS)
Some families who receive Centrelink subsidies may be eligible for the Federal Government Child Dental Benefit Schedule. This scheme provides $1000 of dental treatment* over a two year period for eligible children between the ages of 2 and 17 years of age.
Under the scheme at our practice, eligible children are bulk-billed and there is no gap to pay.
* Certain conditions and limits of treatment apply
Our dentists have approval to treat Department of Veterans’ Affairs Gold or White Card holders at our practice. Simply supply us with your DVA file number and we will organise the administrative details for your treatment.
Maintaining good oral health as we age is not always easy. Studies show as we age, saliva flow reduces and it can be harder to maintain daily hygiene routines. As a result, your oral health can suffer, teeth can break down, and you can end up in pain or with an infection.
We welcome senior patients. At Renton Dental, we are experienced taking care of teeth of any age. We understand the challenges and can offer tips, assistance, or advice to help you with the next step in your dental care. We look forward to helping you maintain your oral health in our comfortable practice.
Payment for your dental treatment is required at the completion of each visit.
For your convenience, we offer you a choice of EFTPOS, Credit Card (excluding Diners), cash or cheque payment options. We also accept American Express cards (no surcharge).
