Your First Visit to Renton Dental
At your first visit, we will ask you to complete a comprehensive medical history form. This enables us to understand your individual health status and its impact on your treatment (more about what questions we ask & why).
All information provided will remain confidential.
Before we begin your treatment, we will carry out a thorough examination of your teeth, gums and jaw joints. We may also require dental radiographs (x-rays), which act as a valuable diagnostic tool, enabling us to check for any signs of tooth decay or oral disease.
Continuing Dental Care
By scheduling subsequent visits to Renton Dental, we ensure that your treatment outcomes are fulfilled and you can continue to enjoy good oral health, a bright smile, and fresh breath.
Missed dental appointments will disrupt your treatment process, our practice, and other patients. For these very good reasons, we request that you reschedule your appointment at Renton Dental Paddington only in times of genuine emergency.
Even with the best care and attention, Dental Emergencies sometimes happen. We reserve emergency appointments in our schedule to cater for the unexpected. Infection Control Procedures
We are committed to maintaining the highest standards in sterilisation and infection control procedures. All our instruments and dental hand pieces are meticulously cleaned and sterilised after each patient. Disposable items are used wherever possible.
Renton Dental has been awarded Accreditation status, which means that our processes and standards have been assessed and accredited to the National Safety and Quality Health Standards.
Your payment options
Payment for your dental treatment is required at the completion of each visit. For your convenience, at Renton Dental Paddington we offer you a choice of EFTPOS, Credit Card (excluding Diners), cash or cheque payment options. We also accept American Express cards (no surcharge).
Health Fund Rebates
If you’re a health fund member, you can claim your fund rebate directly via HICAPS at Renton Dental. You’ll pay only the applicable gap for your dental services. Most health funds are accessible through HICAPS.
Our relationship is with you as our patient, and not with your health fund. Our dentists will be happy to explore affordable treatment options with you then provide itemised quotes for you to discuss with your health fund.
DVA patients, Seniors and Medicare CDBS patients welcome
Our dentists have approval to treat Department of Veterans’ Affairs patients at our practice. Simply supply us with your DVA file number and we will organise the administrative details for your treatment.
We welcome senior patients. We look forward to helping you maintain your oral health in our comfortable practice.
Your entire family is an important part of our child-friendly practice. Your children may be eligible under the Medicare Child Dental Benefits Scheme (CDBS) which covers most dental services. This scheme provides up to $1,000 of benefits per child over a 2 calendar year period, for eligible kids aged between 2 and 17 years of age.
